“Love Knot Blankets”

for

Kosair Children’s Hospital

While studying the Works of Mercy, the families in the Children’s Catechumenate created a mural, illustrating the various Works of Mercy.

As part of their preparation for service in the community the families  made “Love Knot Blankets” and blessed them to give to children who are sick at Kosair Children’s Hospital.

They made four blankets, two for girls and two for boys.    They also created  greeting cards which included their picture to go with each blanket.

Although they couldn’t actually go to visit the sick, they sent their “Love Knot Blankets” and their greeting cards.

Mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers and great aunts all helped the children tie the many knots and pray for the child who would receive the blanket.

Dear God, please bless these “Love Knot Blankets” and the children who will receive them.  May the blankets keep them warm and help them feel better.  May they know that we love them and are praying for them to get well.  We ask our prayer in Jesus’ Name.  Amen
