The

Light

Of

Christ!

Newly baptized light the assembly’s candles in preparation for the Renewal of Baptism Promises

 

All powerful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

             by water and the Holy Spirit you freed  us from sin at Baptism

                          and gave us new life.

Send your Holy Spirit upon us and be our Helper and Guide.

Give us the spirit of wisdom and understanding,

             the spirit of right judgement and courage,

                          the spirit of knowledge and reverence.

Fill us with the spirit of wonder, awe and joy in your presence.

We ask our prayer through Christ our Lord.   Amen

Be sealed with the Holy Spirit!
