Dr. Peter F. "Rick" Loader

Rick was raised in the First Christian Church of Louisville where his Father and Mother were both active members. He was baptized by Dr. Paul Stauffer in 1963 and it was at that time that Rick first began to consider the ministry.

During his high school years Rick sang with the Christian folk singing group of Protestants and Catholics of different races. It was in this group that Rick became interested in church camping, in singing, in playing guitar and in writing music.

Rick and Trina were married in the summer of 1977 just after Rick, a graduate of the Lexington Theological Seminary, was ordained. Rick began his ministry in 1977 at the Burkesville First Christian Church. Before coming to Bardstown, Rick served as minister of Shepherdsville Christian Church. Before that he served as an Associate Minister of Arlington Christian Church in Lexington where Rick and Trina became parents of Adam and Bethany. In 1989, he received his Doctor of Ministry degree from LTS.

Rick began work as the minister of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bardstown June 1, 1992.
