Accelerated
Reader
Foster
Heights has a very involved Accelerated Reader program. Students read books that
are marked "Accelerated Reader" books. These special books have a
computer generated test that they take upon completion of the book. Students
compete with one another and other classes to earn the MOST accelerated reader
points. The student who earns the highest points at the end of the school year,
earns the privilege to be the "Principal for the Day!" The past few
years, Mrs. Buffin has challenged the entire student body to reach a school
goal. Mrs. Buffin has kissed a PIG, slid into SLIME and been taped to the WALL!!!
What will the new challenge be? Boys and girls, keep reading!
